About

Information taken from “The Bible Lands Project” Informational Brochure

Under the direction of project leader John Moore and in cooperation with World Video Bible School, a project team will be assembled to travel to the countries of Israel and Jordan March 16 – April 1, 2015, for an overall educational, evangelistic, and edifying purpose.

In Defense of the Faith
The Bible story and its message of salvation are connected to a real place and in a real time in history. Its reliability and credibility is therefore dependent upon evidence that corroborates its claims. New Testament scholar C.H. Dodd said “Some religions can be indifferent to historical fact, and move entirely upon the plane of timeless truth. Christianity cannot” (History and the Gospel). The Bible Lands Project is dedicated to showcasing those historical facts through the Faith Lessons in the Land of the Bible—a thirteen segment book and video kit designed to bolster confidence in the verity of scripture.
As an Aid to the Believer
G. Ernest Wright wrote, “Geography, history, and religion are so inextricably bound together in it [the Bible] that the religious message cannot be truly understood without attention to the setting and conditions of the revelation.” (Westminster Bible Atlas). Faith Lessons in the Land of the Bible will present helpful insights and information to enlighten viewers about the historical, cultural, and geographical environs of the Bible stories and precepts. Both written and video documentation presented in this project will help bring the Bible to life, as well as serve as a springboard for devotional lessons, classroom discussion, and as general means of edification for all.
For a Repository of Resources
Team members for this project will not only include academically qualified instructors and educators, but also a professional videographer and experienced photographer who will capture and archive thousands of images and hours of video. With this repository of knowledge, numerous additional applications can be made for use in the classroom, instructional materials, and in other World Video Bible School Projects.
As a tool for Evangelism
Through the Faith Lessons in the Land of the Bible, believers can share with others some of the basic truths about the work and reality of Jesus, His message of salvation, and the hope of heaven.
With special attention given to the city of Jerusalem, the story of the crucifixion, resurrection, establishment of the church, and the new birth, believers will have access to an exciting and modern evangelism tool.

The Bible Lands Project will produce:
A 13 lesson video series called Faith Lessons in the Land of the Bible, for use in educational, evangelistic, devotional, or private settings.

Asking for your Support and Participation
Without the support of concerned Christians like you, this project would not be possible. World Video Bible School (WVBS), Southwest School of Bible Studies, Doug Garner, Gary Massey, and Jonathan Moore, are all helping to financially support this effort. However, we are still in need of additional funding. There will be numerous costs for such an undertaking, including travel expenses, filming fees, production costs, and numerous incidentals.
Our primary goal is to raise $18,000.00 to assist with the expense of the trip. Carla, Micah, and I will also be personally contributing to this expense.
Our secondary goal is to raise an additional $10,000.00 in support for WVBS in their pledge to assist with production costs and to offset the travel expenses of our film crew. WVBS’s existence is dependent upon the gracious gifts of donors like you.

  1. This would be great to see on DVD. Is that going to be the end product and if so how would we get a copy? Thanks for all of your work in this project.
